Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that often appear in the sky are still an elusive mystery to mankind. Sightings of these saucer-shaped objects are being shared from different parts of the world. But no one has yet been able to answer most of the questions related to them or make discoveries that shed light on their source.
But now, the American space agency NASA is starting the research to find out their secret. It has been announced that NASA’s journey to find the answer to the million dollar question that has plagued mankind for decades will begin in October. 16 people will participate in this massive research which will last for nine months.
“We have selected 16 individuals to join an independent study team on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), unidentified celestial objects. This nine-month study will begin in October,” NASA announced on Twitter.
Earlier this year, a top US Defense Department official stated that the number of unidentified objects in the sky has increased exponentially over the past 20 years. His response was at the first public meeting on UFOs in half a century.
“Since the beginning of the 20th century, there has been an increase in the number of unauthorized aerial objects over military controlled training areas and other designated airspace. Most of these are flying objects of unknown origin,” Scott Bray, deputy director of naval intelligence, told a US House security panel.
It is in this situation that the study becomes relevant. Perhaps if this study leads to information about another habitable planet beyond Earth, it will be a great asset to the scientific world’s long-standing quest, and the discovery could hold the key to the mysteries of life in the universe.
