The main complaint of people using WhatsApp is that the quality of photos decreases when sending them. To solve this problem there is an option to send photos as documents, which is a bit tricky. But apart from this, WhatsApp also provides an option in which you can choose the quality in which you want to send photos while sending them.

There is a dedicated photo upload quality section in WhatsApp settings to help you choose the photo quality. People who need to send high quality photos can choose Best Quality option. Apart from this, WhatsApp also provides an option called data saver. Through this, the quality of the photos sent on WhatsApp is compressed and sent to save data. The amount of data used also varies depending on the quality of the photos.

There is a third option in the WhatsApp settings where you can choose the quality of photos. This option is Auto. Auto, as the name suggests, is an option that automatically decides the quality of photos. WhatsApp itself decides whether to send the photo in high quality or send it in low quality through the data saver option. Data speed etc will influence this decision.

If you select Best Quality, you can send the photo in the best quality. But it takes longer to send and costs more data. If you are sending a photo while in auto option and connected to Wi-Fi, it will be sent in best quality. Photos sent by WhatsApp are uploaded in data saver mode when using mobile data.
