Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) was blocked in India in July 2022. Due to privacy concerns, the Indian government ordered the game to be removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Since then, after many rumors and claims related to the return of the game from time to time, now in a latest report it has been told that the Government of India has decided to lift the ban on this game similar to PUBG Mobile. If the claim is true, then you will soon be able to play this game on your mobile.
Top sources in the government told News18 that a decision has been taken to unblock BGMI from mobile app stores for three months. The report says that the government has taken this decision in a meeting and along with the removal of some bans, some conditions have also been kept. The ban will be lifted for a limited period of time and some changes will also be made to the game.
The ban on BGMI will reportedly be lifted only if developer KRAFTON integrates the changes mandated by the government. At present, information about the exact reasons for lifting the ban has not been shared. The game was banned by the Government of India under Section 69A of the IT Act, which allows the government to block public access to content in the interest of national security and for several other reasons.
The report further states that players will not be able to play the game for long this time, as one of the changes in the game will be to limit the playing time. Furthermore, the game developer has told the government that the color of any blood in the game will be changed. Although in the previous version there was an option to change the color of the blood from red to blue or green, but after the new change, the changed color will come in the default setting.
