Every year, WhatsApp ends support for a set of phones. This year is no different. As the year 2022 draws to a close, WhatsApp is also ending support for some Android phones and some iPhone models.
While this may sound worrisome, most users have nothing to worry about. A large number of phones that are ending WhatsApp support are phones that run on old and outdated operating systems.
As first reported by GizChina, WhatsApp is ending support for around 49 smartphones on December 31, including those belonging to brands including Apple and Samsung.
This means that users of those phones will not get WhatsApp after the stated date. WhatsApp has already rolled out updates to this phone including new features and security updates. Now finally the service will also stop working on this phone. Most of the phones in the list are years old and used by very few people.
