Ola Electric has officially rolled out the Move OS 3 software update for its customers across the country. The company claims that more than 1 lakh customers will receive over-the-air (OTA) updates. This is the third time in a year that the company has released this updated software. Move OS 3 has 50+ features for S1 electric scooter owners that will greatly enhance the performance of the scooters. We started rolling out MoveOS 3 to all Ola S1 owners this week. This is our third major software upgrade in less than a year, and I’m proud of our engineers for working on developing world-class technology so quickly. At Ola, we aim to build great products and then strive to make them even better,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO, Ola Electric, adding that many features will be available.
The company says Move OS 3, S1 and S1 Pro owners will have 3 different regenerative braking settings depending on their riding patterns. Ola has also introduced a ‘Vacation Mode’ with the new software upgrade. The special feature is that it can be used outside the city for up to 200 days without worrying about deep discharge. With the new update, Ola S1 and S1 Pro owners can create multiple profiles. It will also come with a segment-first proximity lock/unlock feature as standard, so that the rider can lock or unlock the scooter with the phone in hand. Wi-Fi connectivity is also enabled with Move OS 3. The company has launched three moods for the layout of the touchscreen panel namely Bolt, Vintage and Eclipse. These include better acceleration in Hyper and Sport modes, higher speed in Eco mode and more with the Move OS 3 software update. Ola Electric claims to have improved scooter stats like DTE (distance to empty), battery percentage and TTC (time-to-charge).
