Startup Funding – Qlan: Avocore Technologies Pvt. Ltd., which operates Qlan, a social networking platform built specifically for gamers. Ltd. has secured an investment of $200,000 (approximately ₹1.7 crore) in its pre-seed funding round.
The company has received this investment from renowned investors like Marwah Sports, CIIE.CO and Faad Network. According to the startup, the amount raised will be used to expand gamers networking and content creation capabilities.
The full-version of Qlan was launched in January this year, having gone through an extensive beta testing period of about 6 months. In terms of apps, the company claims to have registered around 100,000 downloads combined so far.
If the Mumbai-based startup is to be believed, it has managed to add a user base of over 50,000 gamers at present.
Qlan allows users to create a custom profile, sync their in-game stats with that profile, extend their reach with AI based matchmaking, create squads and share gaming content.
On the app, users can create a gaming profile, connect with gamers of different skill levels, discover and share new gaming content, and unlock a variety of gaming rewards.
Commenting on the new investment, Qlan Co-Founder and CEO, Sagar Nair said;
“This pre-seed funding round truly demonstrates the potential of the growing global gaming and e-sports market. Our primary goal with this investment is to expand the platform, understand the needs of the community, and improve it in terms of user experience.”

And according to Aditya Arora, CEP, Faad Network, there are over 400 million online gamers in India, and the total market size is currently over $4 billion.
He added that around 90 per cent of gamers in the country maintain an active social profile to not only transact but also connect with other gamers. Keeping this in mind, Qlan offers a comprehensive solution to connect these gamers and e-sports enthusiasts.
