Samsung Galaxy S23 received orders worth Rs 1,400 crore on the first day of pre-booking

The first day of pre-booking of Samsung’s new smartphone Galaxy S23, one of the big electronics companies, has received orders worth around Rs 1,400 crore. The pre-booking of Samsung Galaxy S23 is almost double that of the previous version of this smartphone, Galaxy S22.

Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of the unit in India, Samsung said, “On the first day of pre-booking for this smartphone, we have received orders of around 1.4 lakh units. The average price of this smartphone is around Rs. Orders worth around Rs 1,400 crore have been received on the first day.” The pre-booking for this smartphone will be till 23 February. The Galaxy S23 price in India is between Rs 75,000 and around Rs 1.55 lakh. The company has said that the manufacturing of this smartphone will be done at Samsung’s factory in Noida. The previous Galaxy S series smartphones were manufactured in Samsung’s factory in Vietnam and imported by the company for sale in India.

In the budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the removal of duty on import of camera lenses. After this, Samsung has decided to manufacture the Galaxy S23 smartphones in India. This smartphone has five cameras whose sensors range from 12 megapixels to 200 megapixels. The Samsung Galaxy S23 has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an 85-degree field of view and f/2.2 aperture. And it includes a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 120-degree field-of-view and f/2.4 aperture lens.

The company has cut the price of Galaxy S22 in India after the launch of the new Galaxy S23 series. Its starting price is now Rs 57,999 instead of Rs 72,999. The company’s Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Galaxy S22 has a triple camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It has a 3,700 mAh battery which supports 25 W wired and 15 W wireless charging. The base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs 57,999 and the 8GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 61,999. Samsung Galaxy S22 was launched last year.
