SBI UPI App Launched: Scan & Pay from Direct Bank

SBI YONO UPI Update: Recently State Bank of India has once again brought a new update in its Mobile Banking App. In such a situation, those who have YONO Bank Account can use direct scan and pay. That is, you will get the option of UPI in SBI YONO App, as is the case in Apps like PhonePe and Google Pay.

Pay can now be done by direct scanning on any bank or App using SBI UPI. Which was not possible earlier and because of this, users had to open an account on any UPI App to transfer money from bank to someone’s account or send money from bank account and IFSC code. But after the latest update of SBI YONO App, now this feature will also be available on the official App.

State Bank of India (SBI) on Sunday launched its completely revamped digital banking application ‘YONO for Every Indian’.

With YONO, which means “You Only Need One”, bank customers will get access to Unified Payments Interface (UPI) features such as scan and pay, pay by contacts, request money, etc. Since its inception in 2017, YONO has more than 6 crore registered users.

In FY23, 78.60 lakh savings accounts in SBI were opened digitally through YONO. The bank said in a release,

“The upgraded version of the YONO app will empower customers of other banks to embark on the YONO journey, thereby encouraging them to be a part of the ever-growing SBI family.”

As part of its 68th Bank Day celebrations, SBI also launched Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facilities to customers of both SBI and other banks.

Customers can seamlessly withdraw cash from any ICCW-enabled ATM of any bank using the ‘UPI QR Cash’ functionality. Through a single-use dynamic QR code displayed on the ATM screen, the transaction will be processed.

In addition, users can easily withdraw cash using the Scan & Pay feature available on their UPI application.

Benefits of UPI App

There are many benefits of using the UPI App. About this we have talked about different UPI App like PhonePe, Google Pay. But if these features are available directly in any bank app. So it has some different advantages.

The biggest advantage of providing UPI feature on YONO App is that all the customers are there. They do not need to download a separate mobile app like PhonePe, Google Pay to transfer money to another bank or to send money to someone else’s mobile. You can send money directly from your bank app.

If you want to send money to any mobile immediately, then you can send money directly to the phone with its scan code or UPI ID.

Payment is sent to any bank without deducting any charge.

Account can be created for free on YONO App, in this case UPI can also be used for free.

Whenever you buy something from a shopping site, merchant. So for this one has to pay through UPI App. But now you can pay through direct bank.

How to download YONO App?

Installing and using this YONO app is as easy and free as any other mobile app. You have downloaded it from Google Play Store and App Store, for this you have to enter SBI YONO in the search bar and press the search button.

By doing this, you will get this blue violet color combination SBI YONO app first in line, after that clicking on the install button, here mobile aap will be automatically installed on your mobile phone. After this you will be all set to register on this app.

The YONO app launched by SBI can be downloaded from Google Play Store on all Android based phones and can also be downloaded from Apple App Store on iOS platform. After downloading the user can register and start using the YONO app. Following is the registration process for SBI YONO App:

Step 1: First of all log in to SBI YONO app.

Step 2: Now use the Internet Banking option for the registration process or user can also enter their account details.

Step 3: Enter account details including your ATM card number, followed by ATM PIN and click on the ‘Submit’ button. If the user has opted for Internet Banking, he/she needs to enter his/her Internet Banking Username followed by Password.

Step 4: Now agree to use MPIN by accepting the given terms and conditions, proceed further and click on ‘Next’.

Step 5: Select an MPIN and enter it. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number, now enter it and click on ‘Next’.

Step 6: The user has now successfully registered and can now locate and use SBI’s YONO app.
