People’s Liberation Army researchers recently said China’s aircraft carriers could carry hypersonic weapons. The world sees it as a breakthrough in logistics technology. These weapons are designed to be launched from an aircraft. According to the team led by Xiao Jun, a researcher at the China Airborne Missile Academy in Luoyang, Henan Province, these weapons can penetrate targets at high levels.

Associated scientists claim that China’s hypersonic project is capable of targeting a car traveling at a speed of 6,174 kmph. These weapons can extend the combat range of China’s carrier fleet by more than 2,500 km. To date, no other country has received any reports of using hypersonic technology on aircraft carriers.
The battlefield will change
In January of this year, a report was published in China’s strategic journal Tactical Missile Technology, according to which about 3,000 scientists are working on China’s hypersonic project. This number is more than double the number of scientists working to develop conventional weapons. According to analysts, the Chinese military assumes that hypersonic weapons will change the entire face of warfare. China is investing heavily in this technology.
