Several reports related to the Apple iPhone 15 series have been coming out recently. From this it is clear that the new iPhones will be released with many changes and innovations. There were earlier reports that these phones will have USB Type-C ports instead of Thunderbolt ports. Now the information has come out that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will not have any buttons.

The notch will be completely avoided

All models in the iPhone 15 series will come with Apple’s new Dynamic Island feature. There are also indications that the standard variants will have a 48-megapixel rear camera. What’s more remarkable is that the most expensive model in the iPhone 15 series will not have physical buttons. If this happens, the device will become a significant milestone in the history of smartphone designs.

No physical buttons

The most expensive model in the iPhone 15 series will be called iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Ultra. The device will have solid-state haptic buttons. These will be the kind of buttons that do not stick out and are not readily visible. There are also hints that this iPhone will have a slightly thicker profile, a camera bump and a more curved chassis.

USB Type C

The photo in the render report shows a USB-C port instead of a Thunderbolt port. When the European Union takes a tough stance on chargers and countries including India are going to make USB C ports mandatory for smartphones, Apple is going to release an iPhone with a USB Type C port for the first time in history.

Design

The iPhone 15 series will come with a design similar to the iPhone 14 series released last year. Analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo recently claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro models will not have physical buttons. The new solid-state buttons will be similar to the Home button design seen on models like the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8. These do not need to be pressed, just touched.

Solid state button design

Ming-Chi-Kuo has tweeted that both the high-end iPhone 15 models will replace physical/mechanical buttons with a solid-state button design for the volume button and power button. Reports also suggest that taptic engines will be placed internally on the left and right sides of the phones to make it feel like pressing physical buttons and provide better feedback.

Taptic Engines

The vibrator motor currently used in iPhones will be replaced by three taptic engines to provide more space inside the phone. Through this, Apple can also increase the battery in the devices. There are no clues about the battery in the iPhone 15 series yet. The iPhone 15 series is expected to launch in September or October this year.
