Reliance Jio True 5G service will now be available in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Earlier, Jio 5G was announced in six cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Varanasi and Nathdwara. Users in these two cities will be invited to enjoy unlimited 5G data at 1 Gbps+ speed through ‘Jio Welcome Offer’.

Jio True 5G services are being rolled out in a phased manner to ensure a better customer experience. Customer insights and feedback help Jio build the most advanced 5G network globally. Customers can get speeds ranging from 500 Mbps to 1 Gbps on the Jio True 5G network.

You don’t need a 5G phone or a 5G SIM to use the new service. However, those who do not have a 5G phone and 5G SIM can know the 5G speed better. Anyone with a Wi-Fi smartphone can use it. Jio True 5G Wi-Fi is now available in high-traffic areas—educational institutions, places of worship, railway stations, bus stands, commercial hubs, etc.

Jio True 5G Wi-Fi and Jio Stand Alone True 5G are two services. Jio Stand Alone True5G is the true 5G technology. Jio’s flagship technology Stand Alone True 5G will be officially launched on Diwali. Now it is available only in few cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi. Apart from that, only Jio invitees can try it. It is currently in testing phase and will be available to everyone after that.

Jio’s True 5G is a standalone technology. It doesn’t rely on existing 4G technology so those who don’t have 5G devices won’t get it. There are many users who do not have access to 5G because the devices are available but the companies that make them are not available.

Even though they have 5G phones from companies like Apple, Samsung and Google, they are currently not getting 5G even if they are in an area with 5G service in India. It is reported that these phone manufacturers will soon issue a software update to enable their 5G handsets to receive 5G. At the same time, it is also reported that the recently launched Nothing Phone (1) has been updated to receive 5G.
