South Korean electronics company LG has developed the world’s first high-resolution display that can be stretched, rolled, folded and rotated. It goes without saying that the LG company’s claims about this new display technology are amazing.
It has already been said that it is a stretchable display. LG says that the size of the 12-inch display can be increased up to 14 inches. LG has stated in their blog post that even when doing this, the display did not suffer any kind of damage.
It is constructed of a film type substrate that can be stretched when stretched and return to its original state when released. The substrate is developed from a special type of silicon used in contact lenses. It should also be remembered that this technology is currently in the developing stage.
No device has yet come out with a stretchable display. Once this technology is perfected, the world will witness a revolutionary change beyond foldable displays. Even foldable technology is just beginning to be adopted by companies. In this case, it will still take years for devices with stretchable displays to hit the market.

It is also a feature that the portability of the devices will increase as it is light weight. Currently, the company has only demonstrated the new technology. LG has developed the display technology in collaboration with 20 companies from the South Korean industrial and educational sectors.
Meanwhile, companies are still slow to adopt foldable technology. Samsung is at the forefront of introducing foldable smartphones. Brands like Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Oppo are also introducing foldable devices. Google is expected to bring foldables to the market by next year. Apple is also expected to introduce foldables.
