As a first step, users of Zoom One Pro and Zoom Standard Pro in the US and Canada will be able to set up an e-mail account with Zoom at no cost. Oded Gall, chief product officer at Zoom, revealed in a blog post that the Zoom app is designed to provide access to all communications including popular email services, meetings, phone, whiteboard, and team chat.
Users can connect their other existing email services with the Zoom app. Additionally, there is an option to copy an email message to a team chat or channel. Rather than being a new mail system for individuals to use for personal purposes, Zoom has introduced a new mail system aimed at medium and small enterprises and business organizations.
Zoom touts its mail system as a great medium to help a small number of people communicate their official conversations and more. Zoom Mail works with the privacy and security of business organizations in mind. Zoom mails use end-to-end encrypted technology.
Apart from this, Zoom Mail offers 15 GB storage for Zoom Pro users and 100 GB for Zoom One Business users and above. Also, Zoom’s calendar feature works with Zoom meeting and phone/team chat. This zoom calendar is useful for scheduling meetings, zoom phone calls, etc.
The company has come up with these new mail-calendar systems in the realization that it will not be possible to keep up if we proceed only through Zoom meetings. Zoom’s growth and use, which soared during the Covid era, is now almost at a standstill. That is why Zoom has been making moves to move to other sectors for two years.
