It can be difficult for a common user to differentiate between real and AI generated images. Instagram has made a plan to overcome this problem of users. The social media company is coming up with a new label for this, which will put this label on AI generated images. After applying this label, one can easily differentiate between the original and AI generated images.
A tipster Alessandro Paluzzi has leaked information about this label feature of Instagram . Through this feature, the picture modified through AI tool can be identified. Instagram has not announced this feature yet, it has been rolled out to some beta testers. This feature of Instagram will be labeled as ‘Image generated by Meta AI’.

Not much information is currently available about how this feature of Meta ‘s photo-video sharing app will work. It is being speculated that this tool will separate the images modified or generated by AI through a label. This step of Meta has been taken to stop spreading rumors with wrong pictures on social media platforms. Even before this, tech companies like Meta, Google, Microsoft have talked about creating a framework to prevent misuse of artificial intelligence.
There are crores of users on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram. A wrong picture uploaded on this platform can spread rumours. Meta has recently launched its open source large language model LLaMA 2 but it is not yet released for Instagram. Apart from this, Meta is working on such an AI chatbot, which can respond like humans. This AI chatbot of Meta will be able to adopt the character of humans along with giving responses.
