Tata Motors will be one of the many big companies participating in the Auto Expo 2023. The company is planning to showcase many new technologies in this Auto Expo, which may appear in cars in the near future. The automaker has released several teasers on social media related to hydrogen technology, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and connected car technology.

Tata has been at the forefront of the electric mobility space. The company has captured a large share of the market through back-to-back popular electric cars like Nexon EV, Tigor EV and now Tiago EV. Now looking at the future, Tata can also launch cars with hydrogen technology in the Indian market. It is also important for the brand’s commercial vehicle business, as hydrogen is considered more practical for longer distances for larger vehicles such as trucks and buses. The company can be seen launching prototypes of the technology at the Auto Expo.

These cars can come with ADAS features

Tata has also highlighted its commitment towards safety with more active and passive safety features in its cars. The new model from the automaker has been rated really well in the Global NCAP crash test results. The next phase of safety features is likely to include ADAS in the automaker’s vehicles. Reports have suggested that Tata’s flagship offerings like Safari and Harrier could be the first models to get ADAS.

Now this safety feature is available in these cars

The safety system is already popular in the Rs 15 lakh plus segment and cars like the Mahindra XUV700, Honda City Hybrid, MG Astor, BYD Atto 3 get these features. The upcoming MG Hector facelift is also expected to debut with ADAS. Looks like Tata is going to start offering ADAS with the Harrier and Safari update plans.

Company will update connected technology

Tata Motors may also showcase its connected car technology with an updated variant of the brand’s connected car platform iRA. Currently iRA-equipped vehicles get around 27 features, but we can see more getting updated on the platform and later rolled out through OTA updates to new and existing customers. Hyundai and Kia have a huge edge on the number of features offered through their respective connected car techs. Tata can use this opportunity to get closer to its rivals.
