Recently View Ones is a very popular feature of WhatsApp users. The View Once feature works in such a way that once a photo or message is sent, the recipient can see it only once. The disadvantage of this feature is that even if photos are sent as View Ones, they can be screenshotted. But WhatsApp is preparing to fix this shortcoming. WhatsApp is trying to bring a new security feature in the app so that it is not possible to take screenshots of photos sent as View Ones.
The feature to prevent screenshot taking is not yet available to everyone. According to a report by WhatsApp-related news outlet Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature that prevents View Ones from taking screenshots of messages. This security-related feature emphasizes privacy. It is not clear when this screenshot blocking feature will be available to everyone.
There were earlier reports that WhatsApp is trying to introduce a system to notify the sender of chats or photos if they take a screenshot. But it is interesting that such a thing is not mentioned in the new report. Vibetainfo’s report says that WhatsApp is only preparing a system to prevent taking screenshots of photos or messages sent as View Ones.
WhatsApp introduced the View Ones option a few months back. View Ones is a security option so that when you send a photo or message, the recipient can see it only once. WhatsApp introduced such a feature as part of giving importance to privacy and security. Currently, photos sent as View Ones are shown in a special way to the recipient of the message. It can also take a screenshot.
The new WhatsApp feature not only prevents taking screenshots of photos sent in ViewOnes format, it also prevents screen recording. WhatsApp is going to bring a system to block screen recording similar to the one seen in other OTT apps. Once the feature is available to everyone, then the View Ones files we send cannot be saved to the phone in any way except that the person receiving it can see it once.
Meta has already introduced a feature to block screenshots of messages sent as View Ones on Instagram. No third party apps can challenge WhatsApp’s screenshot blocking feature, the report said. No one wants to take a screenshot of View Ones photos on WhatsApp using other apps
