Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones (Google Pixel 7 Series) have been launched in the Indian market. These new flagship smartphones come powered by the second generation Tensor G2 processor. Google has provided a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup for the Pixel 7 and a triple camera setup for the Pixel 7 Pro. The camera setup on the Pro model also includes a 48-megapixel telephoto lens. Like other Pixel smartphones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will receive five years of security updates.

Google has also introduced new camera features with the Pixel 7 series. Pixel 7 supports a new ‘Cinematic Blur’ feature that gives a dramatic blur effect while recording videos. The Pro model comes with ‘Macro Focus’ feature. The ‘Photo Unblur’ feature in Google Photos, which uses machine learning technology to improve old or blurry images, is also available first on the new Pixel devices.

Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro: Price, Availability

Google Pixel 7 starts at Rs 59,999. The smartphone is available in Snow, Obsidian and Lemongrass color options. The price of Google Pixel 7 Pro starts at Rs 84,999. The Pro model will be available in Hazel, Obsidian and Snow color options. Both the smartphones will go on sale in India on October 13 via Flipkart. You can get Rs 6,000 cashback on Google Pixel 7 and Rs 8,500 cashback on Google Pixel 7 Pro.

Google Pixel 7: Specifications

The Pixel 7 smartphone sports a 6.32-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by an octa-core Tensor G2 SoC with 8GB of RAM. The device also has up to 256 GB of inbuilt storage. The device runs Android 13 out-of-the-box with dual SIM (nano + eSIM) support.

As mentioned above, the Pixel 7 smartphone has two rear cameras. The cameras are a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The company has also provided a 10.8-megapixel front camera on the Google Pixel 7 for selfies and video calls. This camera setup also supports a new ‘Cinematic Blur’ feature that gives a dramatic blur effect while recording videos.

The Pixel 7 smartphone also has connectivity options that include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Accelerometer, ambient light, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor are the onboard sensors in the phone which comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and face unlock support.

Another important feature of Pixel 7 is wireless charging support. Google has also provided fast wired charging support in this device. Google claims that the battery with Google’s Extreme Battery Saver mode enabled will keep the device running for 72 hours.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone comes with a 6.7-inch Quad-HD (3,120 x 1,440 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This device is powered by Tensor G2 chipset. This device has 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage. The Pro model also comes with Android 13 OS. The fingerprint sensor is provided on the display itself. This device also supports face unlock feature.

Just like the Pixel 7 smartphone, the Pixel 7 Pro sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. In addition to this, Google has also provided a third 48-megapixel telephoto lens that supports 30x super-resolution zoom and 5x optical zoom. The phone has a 10.8 megapixel selfie camera. The Pixel 7 Pro also has a ‘macro focus’ feature that lets you take close-up photos of objects.

The onboard sensors, battery, fast charging and connectivity are all similar to the Google Pixel 7 smartphone. The main difference between Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is in terms of camera, display and storage.
