WhatsApp has recently introduced several new privacy features for its users. One of the key features is to hide online status. WhatsApp had introduced the online status hiding feature in beta version a few months back. Now this feature is available for all users on iOS and Android platforms. This allows users to hide their status from unwanted people.

How to hide WhatsApp online status?

Step 1: Android or iOS users need to update WhatsApp app first

Step 2: Open WhatsApp on your phone

Step 3: Go to Settings menu

Step 4: Next, click on Account Settings

Step 5: Scroll down to the Privacy option

Step 6: Click on the last option

Step 7: You can choose “Who can see when online”

Step 8: Change the settings according to your needs.

Currently users have the option to hide their last scene as well. Just like the last scene you get only two options to hide online status. The company aims to focus on privacy by coming up with an online status hiding feature. WhatsApp has introduced several new privacy-related features over the past few months.

The company claims that all chats on the platform are end-to-end encrypted, meaning that chats cannot be read by anyone other than the sender and receiver of the message. WhatsApp has introduced a few more features including the much-awaited community feature. The key features are video calling for up to 32 people and increasing the number of people that can be accommodated in a group to 1024.
