Anyway, let’s know how to proceed through this autofill method to get the password back. That way you won’t have to fumble around with your password in hand.

Step 1: First open Chrome browser on your computer/ smartphone.

Step 2: There you will find the Settings option on the right corner of the website. Click on it.

Step 3: Then there will be Autofill option at the far left corner of the screen. Click on it.

Step 4: Click on the first option, Passwords.

Step 5: Here you can see the passwords of all the accounts saved in your Chrome.

Here click on Password Visibility icon. Then you can copy the forgotten ID and password by clicking on the three dots or the hot-dog menu. But that won’t work if you haven’t saved the password in Chrome before. Then the only way to regain account access is to reset it.

The special feature of this Chrome method is that you can recover not only the password of the e-mail ID, but also the password of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. saved in Chrome. This is an easy way to avoid the headache of resetting passwords.
